Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Cables Manufacturing Technician 2nd Shift Level 3 to join our team in Chandler, AZ.

This position is fully on-site. Relocation assistance is not available.

Our team works a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

In this job, you will:

  • Perform functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing, soldering, rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies

  • Use work instructions, engineering drawings, and technical manuals, assemble aerospace cables/harnesses to specifications

  • Use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment

  • Determine and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process

  • Work with engineers in conducting experiments

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience within manufacturing.

  • Requires an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope

  • Proficiency in the use of hand tools, often requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination

  • Experience following engineering drawings, instructions, parts lists and schematics

  • Ability to cut wire, crimp contacts, pin connectors, apply shielding, and torque connector hardware

  • Able to read, interpret, and record measurements

  • Available to work 2nd shift (3:30pm to 1:00am)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiar with Northrop Grumman processes

  • Cables and Wire Harness experience in Aerospace

  • IPC-A-620 certification

  • Soldering experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $25.34 - $42.26The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
